Master of Ceremonies, Music & Entertainment
I had the pleasure of meeting Marc & Rebecca back in March early this year for their wedding day – and they were really looking for someone to make their day just fun, and stress free, and decided on having me as their Master of Ceremonies, and to provide some music as well.
They loved the sound of what I provided, and decided that I would be a great fit for their special day.
We had a few meetings together to go through the details, and I got to meet their beautiful little family when we sat down at my office. One of the funniest memories I had with them was watching Marc’s reaction when one of their little boys ripped a page out of an old magazine to read while I asked questions!!
Marc is/was a really lovely guy to deal with – so easy going, great personality – and Rebecca is just a lovely & beautiful person too. I love the story of how they met. Because it really is a case of Falling in Love with the Girl Next Door!
It was actually about 2 years ago – that Marc bought his house in Murrumba Downs, and moving in on the Friday – it was literally the next day that Rebecca moved in. The next day Rebecca thought Marc was having a party, he had all his lawn chairs scattered across the front of his house. It was later on that Rebecca drew Marc’s attention when he stood there watching as she started mowing the lawn. He was impressed that she knew how to mow the lawn – and the next minute he came over and asked if she needed some fuel.
The rest they say is history!
Their wedding day had no particular formalities really – just nice and relaxed with a cocktail style. No seating arrangements. They wanted their wedding day/evening to be a Fun & Exciting night with a celebration of their lives coming together.
The Wedding Ceremony was held over by the beach, at Scarborough with Kellie Rainbow as their wedding celebrant. The weather again, was perfect! The Sun was shining, and the Bridal Party turning up in some really awesome cars (of which I have no idea what it was) but it sounded great!
Guests then headed over to the Scarborough boat club, to enjoy some drinks/canape’s while I got setup & ready at the Reception next door at Sunset Blue.
The room looked amazing! Rebecca’s color theme was Black & Purple mostly so I added some uplights around the room just to give that extra touch. Guests made their way in around 6:00pm and headed out the back to some AMAZING fresh seafood, and enjoyed drinks until Marc & Rebecca arrived.
Guests also enjoyed the New Zealand Lolly table as well with chocolates & sweets for everyone to eat.
The night flowed really well, with the Bridal Party entering, guests enjoyed the music playing tapping their feet and a few more activities throughout the night.
