I met Kimberley & Michael back in September last year when they were searching for someone to provide some Music & Entertainment on their wedding night. I headed out to their home to have a chat and talk about different options and not long after they were happy to have me as their DJ & MC on the night.
Their venue, was the amazing Maleny Manor which I dont often get to play at – so it was great to head back there again and say hello to the multi-award winning venue, and staff. Amy, the Function Manager over there does a great job working with everyone and ensuring everything runs smoothly!
Kimberley’s wedding ceremony was something very special, her plan was to walk down the isle to Shania Twain’s “From this Moment” – but carefully scripted to a particular time at each point where the Bridal Party would walk down the Isle. It was very emotional for alot of people.
As the DJ & MC I worked with everyone during the day to make sure we all know what we were doing and when. It was great to work with Vanessa at Butterfly Ceremonies again – she was Kimberley & Michael’s celebrant at Maleny Manor, and I actually worked with her the week before for Sarah & Damien’s wedding as well funnily enough!
Kimberley walked down the spiral staircase at Maleny Manor – and then the formal proceedings started. After the ceremony concluded, I assisted with co-coordinating some group photos and individual photos for their photographer. Then things got really interesting when a Tree Snake decided to sprout itself out and join in on the fun! Never have I had to deal with that before! Haha.
After heading off for some photos – guests mingled and enjoyed some Canape’s, even the kids had their own snack tray area – and then I headed up into the Reception to make sure everything was running OK and as per what we had discussed.
Guests headed on into the room to find their seats and after some fun introductions and formalities – entrees & meals were served for everyone to enjoy. We had some speeches from a few family members and also friends – Channey (Maid of Honour) had a lovely speech that she gave, as did the boys Adam, and not long after was the First Dance – with our Dancing on the Clouds service wich really wowed some of the guests and help take the distraction off of Michael too!
With all the formalities now out of the way – and dessert being served, a few people including Kimberley had a dance on the dance floor, until the night ended with guests departing for their buses.
