First wedding for 2016! …and what a great wedding it was to start with.
Jason & Jodie really wanted a fun, easy going, relaxed Wedding. It was held at the lovely Virginia Golf Club, and it was a very fun night. After discussing my services in more detail – they had decided that they wanted me to be their MC, along with Jason’s brother Stephan, and also provide the music as well. They were such a great couple to work with.
It was such an honor to be part of their wedding! I met with Stephan and together we sat down and formulated a plan, run sheet and timetable for their wedding. It was a very detailed process as we had to cover so much and ensure that we both knew our roles and who would be doing what.
When it came to the Wedding Day – I arrived early and met with Stephan, and went through some rehearsals prior to everyone arriving, and then it was SHOWTIME! I checked with all of the suppliers including Mark from Mark Button Photography – who was out and about getting some great snaps of everyone, and also Dannii from NSI Productions who was filming everyone including speeches & introductions – ensuring that they were all ready, and knew what was happening when & where.
I had arranged with Stephan throughout the night for a number of surprises which Jodie & Jason really enjoyed, including some entertainment with the audience which led to some funny moments during the speeches.
We broke the speeches into two halves, and followed by the Cutting of the Cake – which was really cheeky with a special Cake Topper arranged by Jason! Shortly after we had a group Mother/Son – Father/Daughter dance, and then the Bridal Waltz and then it was time to party!
The room looked amazing, and even though it was a pretty hot day – guests managed to stay cool and enjoy some drinks and dance the night away up until Jason & Jodie had to leave.
