DJ JAMES headed out to The Landing Dockside at Kangaroo point for a Year 11 School Formal. The Night was off to a great start, with some modern background hits playing as the formal attendees arrived in the function room after walking the red carpet.
As more guests arrived, Students started mingling with each other, finding their mates and catching up with lots of smiles and poses for the camera! They students were so enthusiastic, with the dance floor never empty. As the night went on, James started playing the more popular dance songs, bringing massive crowds of students to the dance floor. We even had ABBA playing with people running to the dance floor!
After a while, James slowed down the tempo played ‘Hero’ by Enrique Iglesias, giving guests a chance to have a slow dance with their formal partners, (funny thing was, most people dancing with same gender haha!) but after playing some more hits, James was throwing in songs from the request list that we gave to the students – on our Online Music Planner – every now and then. We even did a lip sync battle! The Students seemed a bit hesitant at first, but eventually got into it. One guy did Barbie girl by Aqua – which was just hilarious. We didn’t have any girls volunteering as the crowd wanted another guy. He did Single Ladies- Beyonce, it was even funnier!
We continued with the popular dance hits for the rest of the night, not long after with the students departing on a great night!
