Jacinta & Aaron met me at a Wedding Expo at Ipswich last year, and after telling them about my services – they decided that I would be the right fit for their DJ and MC on their wedding day!
It was October 2005, (11 years ago) that Aaron & Jacinta were chatting online, and randomly discovered each other. After simple message saying Hi – they progressed to a conversation that ended up finishing at 2:00am in the morning talking about many random stupid things. After about 4 moths of chatting, it was Jacinta’s idea to fly up on the weekend and decided to meet Aaron in the flesh while he was living in Rockhampton, and from there their journey started.
Their wedding was held at the Boulevard Gardens located in Indooroopilly – with a beautiful hidden/secret style garden for their ceremony to be held. I headed over about 1:00pm to get ready & start setting up for their big day.
After meeting up with the venue and working out where I was to setup, I headed on down to the ceremony and met Belinda the celebrant and co-ordinated a few things with her too. The ceremony was just beautiful – the weather was perfect – and guests took their seats to watch the kids walking down holding their “Ring Security” box (which was soooo cute!) followed by Jacinta looking amazing in her dress! The Groomsmen looked pretty sharp in their suits with pink ties too!
The theme of this wedding was PINK, so with Pink Uplighting around the room to make it stand out that little bit more, I headed on inside to get ready for the Reception while guests mingled outside for some group photos & family shots.
Jacinta & Aaron really wanted to make their wedding fun & relaxed, so as their MC I had a few activities planned throughout the night. We had a grand entrance for the Bridal Party to walk in (who also had no idea what was happening) which made it really fun when they entered the room, and then came Jacinta & Aaron.
The night flowed really well – with lots of laughs & random dancing to unusual song requests such as Cotton Eye Joe – which saw a few hoe downs in there, with some Country Music requested, and even at one point I was dragged out onto the Dance Floor to join in on the fun too!
We had a beautiful Father Daughter & Mother Son Dance, followed by Jacinta & Aaron on the dance floor for their Bridal Waltz, and guests had fun getting into the Photobooth taking heaps of selfies & using the various props as well.
I also got some amazing feedback from them which was just lovely!
