Laura from the Brisbane Bronco’s got in touch with me a few months ago looking for a young/energetic DJ to perform outside Suncorp Stadium Brisbane for fans as they arrive to the game, on Thursday 1st of September for our Broncos home game against the Roosters!
I was pretty happy (and slightly excited) to head out there and help support Brisbane Bronco’s for their home game! I even went out and bought a jersey to wear on the night.
Although the game started at 7:50pm – and I wasn’t starting until 5:00pm – I actually had to be there a lot earlier due to Suncorp Stadiums precinct procedures – so I had to be basically setup by 3:30pm.
So I arrived at Suncorp Stadium about 2:30pm to start setting up – and by 3:30pm I was ready to go.
After parking the car, and walking all the way from Caxton Street back to my setup – I ended up starting a little earlier around 4pm and just playing some music while guests, fans and others alike arrived. We had Nova setup in front with their football and table tennis games, there was another Football Throw toss thing (I dont know what it is called!) for the kids to try and aim the football in the hole, and a few other roving activities as well.
Music was pumping and the fans seemed pretty amped up with all sorts of songs such as Wolfmother, AC DC, The Darkness and other rock/electric songs to get everyone going for the game. I had the dance floor lights going, along with some Uplights in the background with the Brisbane Bronco’s colors!
I even ran into DJ STEVE from DJ STEVE’s Disco Parties!
A few people even had a bit of a dance – including a Dance Off with a Boy & a guy from NOVA which was pretty cool.
