2 Hours out of Brisbane, located on the western edge of World Heritage listed Lamington National Park – O’Reily’s Rainforest Retreat was Mark & Kylie’s beautiful wedding Ceremony & Reception where guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Mark & Kylie were such a fun loving couple to work with. We first met over a coffee to discuss what they were looking for – and they wanted a DJ & MC service so they could sit back relax and enjoy the night without any worry.

O’Reily’s Rainforest Retreat made for a picture perfect venue and  I used some of my uplights to help match the Purple & Black theme throughout the room.

Upon arriving, I started to setup about 2 hours before hand to give myself some time to comfortable get everything all ready to go. Guests arrived and I introduced myself to a few friends & family helping them find their seats and making sure they were being looked after.

Mark was a BIG Elvis fan, and wanted lots of Elvis songs played throughout the night – and Kylie was happy with a general mix of most of her favourite music that she liked to listen to – which we played throughout the night.

I had also arranged for a few surprises as well with a Video of 2 friends from overseas (including her Brother) which we played on the Projector as well – which they both enjoyed. Along with some games & activities to get the guests involved and a few magic tricks for the kids to keep them sitting down too – was also included as part of my MC Service.

As a bit of a joke, I gave Mark $22 on the night – as he originally wanted to propose to Kylie at the Q1 but she wouldn’t let him! So they managed to go there the next morning for breakfast which they sent through a lovely text message to say thanks!
